Escala Condos in Downtown Seattle Expect 40% of Sales to be Cash Deals

The Seattle Times – Chris Stiebler, sales director for Escala, the luxury condo project in Downtown Seattle where home prices average $2 million, says that he has sold four units for all cash. Stiebler says that he and his colleagues expect that 40 percent of the building’s sales will come in the form of cash deals, and 60 percent will include mortgage financing, typical for the luxury end of the market. Stiebler says luxury buyers sometimes buy in cash to facilitate a quick closing. Club Cielo Membership Fees at Downtown Seattle Condominium, Escala
Monday, September 8th, 2008People are looking forward to the opening of Club Cielo, a private club located on the second floor of the Escala, a 31-story condominium tower in Downtown Seattle. Escala residents are automatically enrolled in the club, but must pay a $175 monthly membership and spend at least $250 in the club each month. Members that are not Escala residents pay an initiation fee of $5,000, along with regular monthly fees.

Check out Escala, the 31-story luxury condominium complex under construction at Fourth Avenue and Virginia Street in Downtown Seattle. This $350 million project has 275 units and the condo prices range from $500,000 to $5 million. Sub-penthouses and penthouse units cost more. Its first residents are scheduled to move in October 2009.
